1 Month Morning Stretch Challenge for Aerialist Flexibility

During the Fall season, we let out the old and make room for the new. Let’s create a new beginning this Autumn. Let’s begin our morning stretch practice.

How to start stretching?

Morning is the best time to kick start or reintroduce a new habit. I find that it is also a great way to get into a positive mental attitude for the rest of the day.

This October, I’ll be releasing 6 videos per week of morning stretches. The goal is to motivate you to get started from the beginning or to continue your flexibility training.

This practice will consist of 10-20 minute videos for beginners with a busy schedule who want to improve their flexibility. If you’re looking to kick start your flexibility journey or regain your flexibility, then this month of morning stretches may be perfect for you!

Disclaimer: If you have any injuries, please modify the exercises for your needs. Before starting any program, you may need to first consult with your physician.

Morning Stretch Prep

The first week of morning stretches does not require any equipment. If you don’t have Pilates bands and yoga blocks, or your hammock rigged yet, you’ll still be able to participate in the meantime!

I highly recommend you invest in yoga blocks and Pilates bands. They can help support beginners who are very stiff when starting their morning stretch practice. Blocks and bands also help increase the intensity of your stretches. If you are serious about advancing your flexibility, these are a must-have!

In Week 4 we also have two routines with the Yoga Wheel, which is very helpful for beginners to practice back bend.
