How I make my aerial hammock less slippery|Get a better grip

Slipper off the hammock? We all do sometimes. Let me share with you how I make my hammock less slippery and how I get more aerial grip.

Grip iT for aerial hammock

Among all the great hand grip products for aerial hammock, Grip-iT is definitely my favorite. Here is why:

Do I need to use Grip iT to build my grip strength on Aerial Hammock?

The three big reasons we slip off the hammock sometimes is 1)weak grip, 2) sweaty hands, and 3)it’s a silky fabric! It’s not exactly made to hold on, which is part of why aerial silks and hammock dancers look so impressive.

I use Grip iT to help with weak grip and sweaty hands. It allows me to focus on strengthening other areas with a sturdy grip on silky fabrics.

How do I build grip strength?

Aerial hammock is super fun but I don’t prefer using it for grip strength. I find gym rings, bars, and hoops more stable. If you can only invest in one item I would definitely recommend gym rings. They are not too costly but lots of ways to use them.

I am building up to a 3 minutes hang per day to strengthen my grip and upper body, just from hanging myself on my rings.

Why do you prefer Grip iT more than other grip products?

I actually got another grip gel and switched to using that for a while. Some gels stuck at the cap then I stopped using it and switched back to Grip iT. It’s just the one that works really well. I hope you’ll like it too.

You ‘ll definitely see me using it in the next aerial livestream❤️.
