Inverted Moon Bend tutorial is suitable for intermediate aerial hoop dancers. There is also a bonus step for the Inverted Moon split pose.
After you’ve mastered the Moon and the Inverted Moon pose, you will be up to this challenge! This tutorial is part of the Inverted Moon Back Bend Splits Flow.
What You Will Need
Gear
- Aerial Hoop
- Swivel
- Safety mat
Outfit
- Comfortable top
- Comfortable pants
Instructions
1. Start in the Inverted Moon pose
2. Run your right leg up the hoop strap.
3. Bring your left leg next to the right leg.
4. Engage your whole body.
5. Point your right leg toward the back of the space.
6. Bring your left leg down, also pointing to the back of the space.
7. You can keep the legs straight…
8. …or bend them for an Inverted Moon Bend pose.
BONUS: Inverted Moon Split
Bring your left leg forward ad straighten both of your legs for an inverted moon split.
